Difference between Staircases and Grand staircases?

I read in the English description on top of this category that Category: Staircases would be only for large or monumental stairs inside buildings. But:

1. There also is a subcategory Category: Grand staircases. I would say: this subcategory is for large and monumental stairs inside buildings.
2. The corresponding Wikidata file Q2451751 is about ordinary staircases within buildings, not specifically about large or monumental stairs.

So, in my opinion these definitions do not match. What would be right:

1. Keep the subcategory Category: Grand staircases and Wikidata file Q2451751 as they are and change the definition on top of this category OR
2. Keep the definition on top of this category and change the other two?

I prefer the first option: change the definition.
By the way: I am not a native English speaker, so I am not familiar with the differences and nuances between all the English terms; I like very much clear definitions.
