Separate from Category:DivingEdit

This is separate from Category:Diving, and should not be a subcategory. The reason is that underwater diving here refers to snorkeling and SCUBA, while diving refers to jumping into the water. Superm401 - Talk 13:38, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

In diving, there are many subcats related to underwater diving: diving schools, signals, ... And even if they are clearly separated, they belong together as the word diving (and its origins) are common. It occurs to me that the origin of the word diving means underwater diving (birds, fish, diving for pearls, ...) --Foroa (talk) 13:49, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

The two uses are now clearly distinct. How much the origins are common (or not) is irrelevant here. Incorrect subcats need to be fixed, rather than more errors introduced. Superm401 - Talk 01:45, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
Hmm... This still belongs to the diving category. Why? "Diving" and "underwater diving" should be on the same level of categories. And as Wiktionary [[1]] tells us, there actually is no such thing as underwater diving, it is underwater swimming. 00:18, 20 January 2012 (UTC)
