These need to be re-recorded edit

These files are inconsistent with regard to intonation. In about half of them, the tone rises at the end of the statement, as if it is a sentence fragment rather than a complete sentence, whereas the remaining files have a falling tone at the end, making them sound like complete sentences. (The speaker probably recorded these all in one long take, unconsciously making them sound like a series of items in a list.) It would be great if the intonation could be made consistent (sounding like complete sentences) across all the files. And, no offense, but it is obvious that the person who recorded these is not a native English speaker; it would probably be preferable to have a native English speaker re-record these. - dcljr (talk) 20:06, 5 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

They're not too bad, the only differences in phonology from my dialect are 'sylophone', 'turdle', and 'maws'. However, you are right about them sounding like items in a list. And 'octopus' is a bit faded at the beginning. Arlo James Barnes 20:26, 26 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
