Zabroniony format pliku.

Próbuję wysłać plik *.ogg przez nowy kreator - dostaję komunikat: "Zabroniony format pliku." i wysyłka nie dochodzi do skutku. Przez stary kreator udało się wysłać plik. Tylko ja tak mam? Da się naprawić? Marek Mazurkiewicz (talk) 00:39, 22 January 2015 (UTC)

Spróbuj wysłać plik audio jako .oga a plik wideo jako .ogv - może MediaWiki chce wymusić "poprawne" nazywanie plików, nie wiem. --Derbeth talk 09:21, 24 January 2015 (UTC)

To błąd w nowym wysyłaniu plików: Commons:Upload Wizard feedback#Ogg files upload: "this type of file is banned". Poprawka weszła do kodu 30 stycznia, może jeszcze nie wrzucili jej na serwery. --Derbeth talk 07:30, 2 February 2015 (UTC)

Stewards confirmation rules

Hello, I made a proposal on Meta to change the rules for the steward confirmations. Currently consensus to remove is required for a steward to lose his status, however I think it's fairer to the community if every steward needed the consensus to keep. I am pleased to announce that nominations are now being accepted for the 2015 Wikimedia Foundation Elections. This year the Board and the FDC Staff are looking for a diverse set of candidates from regions and projects that are traditionally under-represented on the board and in the movement as well as candidates with experience in technology, product or finance. To this end they have published letters describing what they think is needed and, recognizing that those who know the community the best are the community themselves, the election committee is accepting nominations for community members you think should run and will reach out to those nominated to provide them with information about the job and the election process.

This year, elections are being held for the following roles:

Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is the decision-making body that is ultimately responsible for the long term sustainability of the Foundation, so we value wide input into its selection. There are three positions being filled. More information about this role can be found at the board elections page.

Funds Dissemination Committee (FDC)
The Funds Dissemination Committee (FDC) makes recommendations about how to allocate Wikimedia movement funds to eligible entities. There are five positions being filled. More information about this role can be found at the FDC elections page.

Funds Dissemination Committee (FDC) Ombud
The FDC Ombud receives complaints and feedback about the FDC process, investigates complaints at the request of the Board of Trustees, and summarizes the investigations and feedback for the Board of Trustees on an annual basis. One position is being filled. More information about this role can be found at the FDC Ombudsperson elections page.

The candidacy submission phase lasts from 00:00 UTC April 20 to 23:59 UTC May 5 for the Board and from 00:00 UTCApril 20 to 23:59 UTC April 30 for the FDC and FDC Ombudsperson. This year, we are accepting both self-nominations and nominations of others. Pywikibot compat will no longer be supported - Please migrate to pywikibot core

Sorry for English, I hope someone translates this.
Pywikibot (then "Pywikipediabot") was started back in 2002. In 2007 a new branch (formerly known as "rewrite", now called "core") was started from scratch using the MediaWiki API. The developers of Pywikibot have decided to stop supporting the compat version of Pywikibot due to bad performance and architectural errors that make it hard to update, compared to core. If you are using pywikibot compat it is likely your code will break due to upcoming MediaWiki API changes (e.g. T101524). It is highly recommended you migrate to the core framework. There is a migration guide, and please contact us if you have any problem.

There is an upcoming MediaWiki API breaking change that compat will not be updated for. If your bot's name is in this list, your bot will most likely break.

HTTPS


Hi everyone.

Over the last few years, the Wikimedia Foundation has been working towards enabling HTTPS by default for all users, including unregistered ones, for better privacy and security for both readers and editors. This has taken a long time, as there were different aspects to take into account. Our servers haven't been ready to handle it. The Wikimedia Foundation has had to balance sometimes conflicting goals.

Forced HTTPS has just been implemented on all Wikimedia projects. Some of you might already be aware of this, as a few Wikipedia language versions were converted to HTTPS last week and the then affected communities were notified.

Most of Wikimedia editors shouldn't be affected at all. If you edit as registered user, you've probably already had to log in through HTTPS. We'll keep an eye on this to make sure everything is working as it should. Do get in touch with us if you have any problems after this change or contact me if you have any other questions.

Hallo,

can someone help me out? I found some pictures of geese in this presentation of the Waterfow-station in Dworzyska. Am I allowed to use the pictures? Or may someone ask, if we can save these very useful photos of the pairs on commons and use them in wp-articles? I am most interested in the picture of the Kuban Geese. Trwałe usuwanie wersji danego pliku

Czy jest możliwe trwałe usunięcie załadowywanych wersji danego pliku? Chodzi o trzy wersje obrazu File:Matejko-chrobry at Kiev (Kijow).jpg, załadowane 18 kwietnia br. chronionego prawem autorskim kopii obrazu Matejki, w ten sposób, żeby nie można było do nich rewertować? Proposal to create PNG thumbnails of static GIF images

How a PNG thumb of this GIF would look like

There is a proposal at the Commons Village Pump requesting feedback about the thumbnails of static GIF images: It states that static GIF files should have their thumbnails created in PNG. The advantages of PNG over GIF would be visible especially with GIF images using an alpha channel. (compare the thumbnails on the side)

"Firefighting", "fire station" a może "fire department"

A to znowu ja. Gdy tylko mam okazję to odwiedzam "drzwi otwartych dni" w strażach pożarnych. Jaką kategorię powinna mieć straż pożarna (ogółem) dla miejscowości? Dotychczas robiłem "Category:Fire station in ...", ale teraz tak myślę, że ta kategoria dotyczyć może raczej tylko remizy, a gdy chcę opisać ogólnie strażaków, ich samochody to raczej "Firefighting in ..." czy "fire department in ..."? A może "fire brigade in ..."? Jest nawet połączenie tych dwócj ostatnich kategorii i można znaleźć category:Fire brigade department in Kołobrzeg Zwiadowca 21

Z pobieżnego przeglądu wynika, że każdy kraj sobie rozwiązuje tę kwestię inaczej. Ale na przykład w przypadku Londynu jest taka kategoria: Category:London Fire Brigade appliances, która jest podkategorią Category:London_Fire_Brigade. Pko (talk) 15:01, 22 August 2015 (UTC)

Problem z poprawnym przesłaniem pliku SVG

Chciałem załadować mapę z nowym podziałem administracyjnym Nepalu. Przygotowałem odpowiedni plik SVG, na podstawie dotychczas istniejącego na Commons pliku [[:File:Nepal zones-noname.svg, jednak na Common ładuje się on tylko we fragmencie, w dodatku z przesuniętymi nazwami: File:Provinces of Nepal 2015.svg (poprawnie powinien wyglądać jak ten plik PNG: File:Provinces of Nepal 2015.png). Czy ktoś może poradzić, co z tym plikiem może być nie tak? A może to wina Commons? Plik zrobiłem w Corelu, u siebie go sprawdziłem – poprawnie mogę go zaimportować do Corela i Illustratora. Tak to wygląda u mnie pod Inkscape zaraz po załadowaniu rysunku. Masz źle ustawiony rozmiar strony. Po bliższym przyjrzeniu się widać, że masz ustawioną stronę A4, podczas gdy rysunek mieści się na stronie (odrobinę) większej niż A3, w dodatku w orientacji poziomej a nie pionowej. jdx Re: 19:04, 23 September 2015 (UTC)
Też na początku myślałem, że to kwestia tego ustawienia strony. Jednak przy eksportowaniu do SVG mam ustawioną stronę A3 w poziomie (taki format ma zarówno obszar roboczy, jak i parametry strony przy eksporcie). Skoro u Ciebie w Inkscape otwiera się cała mapa, u mnie w Corelu i Illustratorze też otwiera się cała mapa, to co tu jest nie tak? Aotearoa (talk) 07:26, 24 September 2015 (UTC)
Trochę to dziwne, ponieważ w nagłówku Twojego SVG masz <svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" xml:space="preserve" width="210mm" height="297mm" version="1.1"... co IMO wskazuje, że strona ma rozmiar A4. W każdym razie załadowałem nową, przerobioną przeze mnie wersję pliku SVG – marginesy pomiędzy „bounding boksem” rysunku a krawędziami strony ustawiłem na 0 i teksty przerobiłem na ścieżki aby uniknąć problemów z fontami (a prawie na pewno to powodowało przesuniecie napisów). Gdyby coś było nie tak to daj znać. jdx Re: 07:54, 24 September 2015 (UTC)
Dzięki za pomoc. Jakoś technicznie te pliki SVG mnie przytłaczają. Np. nie rozumiem, jak to jest, że możesz zaimportować całą treść pliku, a na Commons wyświetlał się tylko jej fragment... Aotearoa (talk) 10:44, 24 September 2015 (UTC)
W pliku SVG oprócz danych opisujących ścieżki/kształty znajdujące się na obrazku znajdują się też inne dane takie jak np. wielkość strony. I wygląda na to, że różne programy potrafiące wyświetlać SVG robią to mniej lub bardziej „ortodoksyjnie”. A że w Twoim wypadku wymiary obrazka są za duże w stosunku do ustawionego rozmiaru strony (co widać też na zrzucie okna Inkscape który zamieściłem wcześniej) to te „ortodoksyjne” przycinają rysunek do podanego rozmiaru strony. Np. otwórz (Ctrl+O) ten obrazek Thunderbirdem lub Internet Explorerem (ja używam zabytkowego 8.0 z wtyczką Adobe'a do wyświetlania SVG) – również będą „ucięte”. Z kolei viewer SVG z Total Commandera pokazuje cały obrazek. jdx Re: 11:19, 24 September 2015 (UTC)

Template:MONCopyright i 4641 plików które ten szablon używa opierają się na tym pozwoleniu które jest sprzeczne z warunkami na http://mon.gov.pl/artykul/prawa-autorskie-1032579/ które mówią ze "Autorskie prawa majątkowe do wszystkich zdjęć zamieszczonych na portalu Ministerstwa Obrony Narodowej przysługują ich autorom" i dają wiele warunków kto i jak może te zdjęcia używać. Te warunki nie są zgodne z wymaganiami COM:LIC. Oryginalne pozwolenie było dane User:Nemo5576 dziesięć lat temu i nigdy nie zostało przesłane do OTRS, co było by teraz wymagane. Według mnie trzeba by było skontaktować się jeszcze raz z MON i poprosić ich o przesłanie oficjalnego pozwolenia do OTRS. Tyrazniejsza sytuacja prawna tych plików jest dosyć niejasna. --Jarekt (talk) 17:39, 30 September 2015 (UTC)

@Nemo5576: wydaje się nadal bywać na Wiki (ostatnie edycje na Commons i pl wiki z 2 września 2015), więc może jest w stanie sam znaleźć oryginalnego mejla i przesłać go na OTRS? Co oczywiście nie wyklucza dalszych działań, ale czyści nam pole. A co do kontaktu z MON - skreślę do nich mejla z adresu wikimediowego, będzie wyglądał oficjalnie. Nielegalna publikacja zdjęć z Commons

Czy możecie odpowiedzieć, jakie istnieją możliwości prawne w przypadku, gdy z zdjęcia własne opublikowane przez użytkownika w Commons zostały potem wielokrotnie opublikowane w sposób nielegalny i niezgodny z zasadami w komercyjnym medium? Konkretnie, czy w takim przypadku uzasadnione jest żądanie na drodze postępowania sądowego zarówno sprostowania jak i zadośćuczynienia pieniężnego? Chcę się upewnić, jakie roszczenia są uzasadnione w takim przypadku (chodzi mi np. o to, czy licencja na Commons, CC-BY-SA-3.0, nie umniejsza ochrony praw autorskich i co za tym idzie, czy nie wyklucza żądania zadośćuczynienia finansowego). Szukałem odpowiedzi w tej kwestii, ale nie znalazłem w Commons:Najczęściej zadawane pytania#Pytania związane z prawami autorskimi oraz na głównej stronie Commons:Bar w pkt. 2 jest info dotyczące kwestii, gdy czyjeś zdjęcie trafiło na Commons, ale brak jest info o tym, że zdjęcie z Commons zostało wykorzystane w innym miejscu. Community Wishlist Survey

Hi everyone! Apologies for posting in English. Translations are very welcome.

The Community Tech team at the Wikimedia Foundation is focused on building improved curation and moderation tools for experienced Wikimedia contributors. We're now starting a Community Wishlist Survey to find the most useful projects that we can work on.

For phase 1 of the survey, we're inviting all active contributors to submit brief proposals, explaining the project that you'd like us to work on, and why it's important. Phase 1 will last for 2 weeks. In phase 2, we'll ask you to vote on the proposals. Afterwards, we'll analyze the top 10 proposals and create a prioritized wishlist.

While most of this process will be conducted in English, we're inviting people from any Wikimedia wiki to submit proposals. We'll also invite volunteer translators to help translate proposals into English.

Your proposal should include: the problem that you want to solve, who would benefit, and a proposed solution, if you have one. You can submit your proposal on the Community Wishlist Survey page, using the entry field and the big blue button. We will be accepting proposals for 2 weeks, ending on November 23.

We're looking forward to hearing your ideas!

Wikimania 2016 scholarships ambassadors needed

Hello! Wikimania 2016 scholarships will soon be open; by the end of the week we'll form the committee and we need your help, see Scholarship committee for details.

If you want to carefully review nearly a thousand applications in January, you might be a perfect committee member. Otherwise, you can volunteer as "ambassador": you will observe all the committee activities, ensure that people from your language or project manage to apply for a scholarship, translate scholarship applications written in your language to English and so on. Ambassadors are allowed to ask for a scholarship, unlike committee members.

A dlaczego nazwy kategorii mają być tylko po angielsku?

Czy polski nie jest wystarczająco pięknym językiem? Zaznaczyłem sobie, że chcę mieć język polski, a tu taki klops. Nagłówki na stronie się zmieniły :) Nawet po tajsku wiem co nacisnąć. We wszystkich wikipediach nagłówki takie same. O ile sobie przypominam, to kiedyś były polskie kategorie. Czy nie dałoby się jakiegoś bota pociągnąć, aby je odtworzyć? Jeśli ktoś założy polskojęzyczne Commons, będą one polskojęzyczne. Te Commons, na których teraz jesteśmy są projektem anglojęzycznym. Pewne rzeczy techniczne (paski boczne czy górne) można sobie tłumaczyć we własnych ustawieniach, ale kwestie ogólne powinny być w domyślnym języku Commons. Panek (talk) 10:42, 8 November 2015 (UTC)
  • Kategorie mają za cel umożliwienie korzystania z zasobów dowolnej osobie czy tez jak największej liczbie osób. Z tego powodu opisy zdjęć i kategorie powinny być dostępne ogólnie. Najszerszym dostępnym językiem jest angielski, wiec kategorie powinny być po angielsku i należy starać się, aby zawrzeć chociaż krótki opis fotografii po angielsku (jeszcze lepiej w wielu językach). Nie tylko po angolsku. Niemcy od dawna praktykują neimieckojęzyczne kategoryzowanie. Kilka przykładów:

Jest to bezczelne gwałcenie zasad Commons. Zgłoszę je w odpowiednie miejsce. Każdy taki zauważony przypadek trzeba bezwzględnie tępić, bo inaczej bez znajomości chińskiego nie będzie dało się przeglądać zdjęć Chin a bez znajomości arabskiego zdjęć z Bliskiego Wschodu. --Derbeth talk 06:12, 12 November 2015 (UTC)

Trochę offtopic, ale skoro już jesteśmy przy absurdalnych kategoriach i Polsce, to zareklamuję Commons:Categories for discussion/2015/01/Category:Groats of Poland. Szkoda, że na Commons jakoś nikomu nie spieszy się do czyszczenia śmieci. --Derbeth talk 06:01, 13 November 2015 (UTC)

  • Mam nadzieje że kiedyś nazwy kategorii będą mogły być w wybranym przez użytkownika języku. Może wikidane w tym pomogą? Nie chodzi o to by zastępować obecny system innojęzyczną kategoryzacją ale by można dopisać w każdej kategorii jej nazwę w dowolnym języku (co jest już dziś możliwe) i aby ta nazwa wyświetlała się na górze strony (co niestety jeszcze nie jest możliwe). Prawo do zdjęcia

Cześć jestem nowy i zielony i mam pytanie. Sformułuje je na podstawie przykładu. Pewna osoba publiczna/polityk udostepnia swoje zdjecie na portalu społecznościowym np. Facebook i tu moje pytanie jak dowiedzieć się na jakiej licencji jest to zdjęcie/ czy mogę użyć takiego zdjecia w artykule Wikipedii/ przesłać je na WikiCommons/ czy jeśli napiszę do danej osoby i otrzymam od niej zgodę na wykorzystanie takiego zdjecia na Wikiepdii/ WikiCommons to mogę go użyć czy to jednak nie jest takie proste ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Samel15 (talk • contribs) 13:45, 24 November 2015 (UTC)

Commons wymaga przesłania zgody przez uprawioną osobę na określony adres i najlepiej według określonego wzoru. Wzór jest wypracowany, żeby uniknąć niejasności, czy ktoś udziela zgody, czy nie, czy zrozumiał warunki itp. Ważne jest, żeby zgody udzielała osoba, która ma do tego prawo, tzn. dysponuje prawami autorskimi do zdjęć. Wydaje mi się, że osoba publiczna może udzielić takiej zgody jeśli wykupiła zdjęcie na wyłączność od fotografa. Jeśli nie - może to nie mieć mocy prawnej (nie może zabrać fotografowi jego własności). To nie takie proste:) Zwykle zdjęcia osób publicznych i polityków, które wykorzystują, nie są wykonywane przez nich samych. Aby nimi dysponować muszą być przeniesione majątkowe prawa autorskie gdyż samo zlecenie i opłacenie usługi wykonania zdjęcia nie wiąże się automatycznie z przeniesieniem praw majątkowych na zamawiającego. Trzeba to zrobić przez umowę o przeniesieniu prawa na właściwych polach eksploatacji na tę zainteresowaną osobę lub oświadczenie woli fotografa, tj. zgodę na udzielenie licencji CC bezpośrednio do Commons, tak jak wskazał Derbeth. Niestety, ale wgranie przez Ciebie tego zdjęcia nie jest zgodne z naszymi zasadami. Boston9 (talk) 20:43, 24 November 2015 (UTC)

This is to inform all Wikimedia contributors that a straw poll seeking your involvement has just been started on Meta-Wiki.

As some of your might be aware, a small group of Wikimedia volunteers have proposed a banner campaign informing Wikipedia readers about the urgent situation of our fellow Wikipedian, open source software developer and Creative Commons activist, Bassel Khartabil. An exemplary banner and an explanatory page have now been prepared, and translated into about half a dozen languages by volunteer translators.

We are seeking your involvement to decide if the global Wikimedia community approves starting a banner campaign asking Wikipedia readers to call on the Syrian government to release Bassel from prison. We understand that a campaign like this would be unprecedented in Wikipedia's history, which is why we're seeking the widest possible consensus among the community.

Given Bassel's urgent situation and the resulting tight schedule, we ask everyone to get involved with the poll and the discussion to the widest possible extent, and to promote it among your communities as soon as possible.
