Discussion
I don't think we need this. I know of at least two users, TwinsMetsFan and Master son, who both use Commonist. What is recommended is to use the perl script. (→zelzany - framed) 22:25, 14 June 2007 (UTC)- I was explicitly contacted by someone to upload a collection of files on their behalf (downloaded from an FTP server they are temporarily setting up) I did not want to flood recent changes with this so I requested a bot flag. Can you give me a reason why it is "recommended" to use the perl script, also IMHO Commonist is better as it allows me to more easily monitor the uploads and stop it if any errors occurs. I also do not see a problem with having multiple users running a similar program under a bot account. Lcarsdata 06:19, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
- After an IRC discussion and an update to the userpage, I now have no objection. (→zelzany - framed) 22:11, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
