Commons:Building an Orthodox library

Dear users,

If you have sympathy for Eastern Orthodox faith or simply enjoy the idea of spreading valuable books, you may help with building an Orthodox library on Commons.

There are many scanned Orthodox books available online, but for various reasons finding and downloading them is not always easy.

It would therefore be very useful if these books were transferred to Wikimedia Commons. Here more people can find them, and it's convenient to download from here. It is also desireable to add bookmarks to the most important books and do some other things to improve quality and accessibility.

Below is the information for those who wish to work on this. This article is not yet ready in English, but the Greek and Russian versions have been started. You can get a rough idea of them with machine translation, but the most important are the links provided. If a link points to a single book, it's highly encouraged to transfer it to Wikimedia Commons and other sites specified in the articles.
