Comment The image is backlit, the subjects are dark in nature, in semi shade, and the sun filtering through the manglar. The dynamic range is huge. The overexposed parts are specular reflections, and basically sun reflecting upon the water, no detail or shades of gray there. So more than thinking of overexposure, we must think of great dynamic range. The dark subjects and their behavior is what is important. If you look for fighting crocodiles in the net, you will have a hard time finding one like this.
