- Info A slice of history, and an end of an era. Note that ordinary mourners were prohibited from photographing this event unless they had special permission. We are very lucky that a Commons user managed to secure such permission and released the images under a Creative Commons license, since it is very unlikely that any media organisations will follow suit. created by KTC - uploaded by KTC - nominated by Cmao20 -- Cmao20 (talk) 21:51, 8 April 2024 (UTC)

- Comment The lying-in-state guard includes members of the Royal Company of Archers in the foreground as well as the Coldstream Guards. Charlesjsharp (talk) 13:20, 9 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you Charles. I will add these notes to the image page. They definitely improve the nomination. Cmao20 (talk) 16:08, 9 April 2024 (UTC)

- Comment It's very rare for one of my nominations to have only got one vote after four days. More feedback on this would be appreciated, either positive or negative. Cmao20 (talk) 14:50, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
- The overall composition cannot really be criticized. It is what it is. The couple front left are not as reverent as I'd like and don't reflect the mood of the live TV pictures. The Beefeater (front right) is out of position. Online images show that a higher PoV was better and that the scene is more compelling when the queuing lines were tidier. No reason to oppose though. - Thanks, Charles. Very thoughtful review. Cmao20 (talk) 12:26, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose The composition doesn't work (mainly because of the people), and the image lacks sharpness. Wolverine XI 06:13, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
- Can you point me to where it lacks sharpness? I thought it was very sharp personally Cmao20 (talk) 12:26, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
- Sharpness seems fine, considering that 1/40sec, F2.8 and IS0 1600 had to be used. Charlesjsharp (talk) 14:45, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
- I withdraw my nomination Cmao20 (talk) 22:19, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
