Support Those aren't bubbles, they're grains of sand. The gurnard often rests on the sandy bottom with its pectoral "wings" folded up. When danger approaches, they will quickly spread the wings and "fly" away. It's likely, this photographer approached the stationary gunnard and then snapped the shot as it was scarred away trailing sand behind it. --Jnpet10:17, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
