Toronto Public Library Historical Collection edit

The Toronto Public Library recently uploaded many of its historical images to flickr. Most, if not all, of these images were created before 1923 or 1960 (US copyright and Canadian Crown copyright cut-off years). Despite being labelled for non-commercial use, these are public domain images. - Floydian (talk) 17:31, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like everything is NC... Even if some could be PD... - Zil (d) 00:05, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't matter what the library licences them as on Flickr. All images taken before 1923 are public domain, period. All Canadian government (not the Government of Canada, but rather all governments within Canada) made images originally published before 1960 are public domain. - Floydian (talk) 16:57, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This still requires an individual review by case, thats nothing an automatic batch import can do. --Martin H. (talk) 23:48, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
