  • I don't think this is a valid reason for having the right. One should not edit other users' page anyway, except to remove vandalism. Yann (talk) 12:33, 21 June 2022 (UTC)

Александр МотинEdit

required for mass edits in categories. I used to use AWB in the Russian Wikipedia and have sufficient knowledge. Thank you. Александр Мотин (talk) 09:45, 6 June 2022 (UTC)
voting   Oppose per Commons:Форум#Streets_in_Moscow_→_Streets_in_Moscow_by_name? as an example rubin16 (talk) 13:49, 12 June 2022 (UTC)
Hmm. And what is wrong with Category:Streets in Moscow by name?--Александр Мотин (talk) 09:05, 13 June 2022 (UTC)

GuerilleroEdit

I would like to tag pages I mass nominate for deletion easily Thank you. Guerillero Parlez Moi 23:44, 17 June 2022 (UTC)
@Guerillero: Have you tried COM:VFC? AWB is a quite generic tool while VFC was designed for Commons-related processes, especially mass DRs. NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh 01:22, 18 June 2022 (UTC)
I use AWB elsewhere and I would like to use it here rather than having to learn a new tool -- Guerillero Parlez Moi 10:14, 18 June 2022 (UTC)
This is just a recommendation. All you have to do is choose all files and then press a button, much much easier than with AWB. NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh 16:41, 18 June 2022 (UTC)

YuriNikolaiEdit

Most of my work in Commons has been diffusing categories about museum collections which I do through Cat-a-lot, but in the process I've found many files needing replaced license tags (ex. scans of very old PD files tagged as CC-BY-SA 4.0 own works or as PD-old-70 instead of 100). I'd like bot access to streamline these edits. I have plenty of experience using AWB in non-Wikimedia projects. Thank you. YuriNikolai (talk) 23:30, 22 June 2022 (UTC)

AwfulReaderEdit

Hi, I'm an active user of enwiki, simplewiki and now commons too. I'm pleading for patrol rights as I'm cleaning new uploads and nominating copyvio/out-of-project-scope files for speedily deletion, now I really like to patrol Commons so I want to "mark edits as patrolled" for acceptable files/edits to reduce the backlog. I would greatly appreciate if I was given patroller rights. Regards, Thank you. AwfulReader (talk) 15:15, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
  • frankly speaking, I would expect some more experience here on Commons before granting a flag: every project (especially a large one like Commons) has its own local policies that are different from en.wp or other projects and it takes time to get a grasp on them. rubin16 (talk) 12:32, 6 June 2022 (UTC)

KadıEdit

Hello, I am Kadı. I serve as a filemover here. I also tag/nominate copyvios (Can be easily seen by looking at my deleted edits.), out of scope images and inappropriately licenced pictures. I request patroller rights. Regards,--Kadı Message 09:39, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
Hi @Rubin16! Could you evaluate my request? Best regards, Kadı Message 21:09, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
I am not sure here, let other sysop decide rubin16 (talk) 13:46, 12 June 2022 (UTC)
Since around two weeks has passed, I am waiting for a decision. Kind regards, Kadı Message 11:56, 21 June 2022 (UTC)

Mhawk10Edit

Hi! I'm mainly active on EnWiki, where I help with Copyright Cleanup Investigations. In order to help with cleaning up text-based copyright issues that might involve a donated source, I have access to the VRT permissions queue. I'm not as active on Commons and I don't intend to make this the Wiki where I primarily spend my time, though I'd like to help patrol file uploads and review licenses sent through VRT that relate to images hosted on Commons. LystopadEdit

Hi! I'm active on Commons for more than 10 years and have bureaucrat and sysop rights on uk.wikipedia. I'm asking to grant me permission for files renaming as often I see inappropriate names while working with categories of ukrainian settlements. I'm acquanted with renaming policy and guidelines. See my latest requests here: File:Belgian House Merefa.jpg, File:Tank Mark V, Revolution Fighters Memorial, Luhansk.jpg. Thank you. --Lystopad (talk) 14:12, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
Done. Happy editing! Taivo (talk) 09:12, 12 June 2022 (UTC)

FMSkyEdit

I have been very active on Commons over the last year. Occasionally I see small typos or other mistakes in my own or other user's files. It would be convenient if I could fix these myself instead of bothering other users. I have read and understand Commons:File renaming. Thank you. FMSky (talk) 15:56, 13 June 2022 (UTC)
Do you have any examples of request for renames you have done for files? Also can you give a link to a file that requires a rename as per COM:FRC? Bidgee (talk) 22:52, 15 June 2022 (UTC)

TKsdik8900Edit

Hello. I am a template editor at Commons now, and I have contributed over 3000 times. I have sometimes found files that I think need to be renamed and have requested renaming. Here is the most recent one. However, there are so many ones, so I want to move them myself. When I did not understand COM:FR, I did this by mistake (Special:Diff/621452883), but now I understand. Of cource, if I become a filemover, I will move not only the files I want to move, but also the files in this category. Thank you. TKsdik8900 (talk) 10:33, 20 June 2022 (UTC)

AvnerEdit

I have been very active on Commons over the 14 year. I have read and understand Commons:File renaming. Thank you!--Avner (talk) 18:21, 25 June 2022 (UTC)

Paul VaurieEdit

I would like to be able to upload mp3 files to Commons. They are pronounciations that will be placed in opening sentences of Wiki pages. Thank you. Paul Vaurie (talk) 01:14, 28 June 2022 (UTC)

Upload Wizard campaign editorsEdit

Scann (WDU)Edit

Hello Commons community! I'm asking permission to be assigned the Campaign editors permissions. I'm currently leading the programs at Wikimedistas de Uruguay, and we want to start doing more photo campaigns. We're currently working with the Photograhy Archive of Montevideo and we might need to establish some campaign uploads for them. You can see some of my other contributions to Commons with my volunteer account, Scann, where I mainly do my Commons contributions. Thank you. Scann (WDU) (talk) 23:47, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
