Aftermath of Reagan assassination attempt
Reason:
The file shows the chaos after the attempted assassination of Reagan, and contains most people involved in the incident. As the largest and clearest (TIFF) file showing the aftermath of assassination, the file is said to be the most valuable one. -- 廣九直通車 (talk)

Scope:
Aftermath of Reagan assassination attempt
Reason:
I think this version is better than that nomination because this one has the white border removed. -- pandakekok9
  • Regarding borders, they can always be cropped. But in terms of quality, mostly TIFF documents are better than JPGs and PNGs.廣九直通車 (talk) 08:38, 7 April 2020 (UTC)
No, PNG and TIFF are the same in terms of quality. Both of them are lossless. TIFF is obsolete, since PNGs have a smaller filesize. TIFF is only supported since there are GLAMs that might not support PNG. pandakekok9 08:55, 7 April 2020 (UTC)
SupportThanks for your explanation. Since your nomination is better cropped, and the file format will be more friendly to other computers, I'll hereby support your nomination.廣九直通車 (talk) 09:13, 16 April 2020 (UTC)

  •   Comment I still think this photo is better. This shows the ammunition box, and this image comes from a Japanese military source (the Type 11 is a Japanese machine gun after all). So I think this image is more valuable, despite the quality. pandakekok9 03:11, 4 April 2020 (UTC)

  •   Info She is essentially a Bollywood actress. Article seems acceptable in en:WP (and 3 other WP), see en:Amy Jackson. --Myrabella (talk) 07:13, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
  • She is essentially a beauty pageant titleholder and not an actress at all. Since 2010 she just has tried to launch an actress career. There are thousands of girls like her. It seems that we have to place all of them in one group together with Sophia Loren, Gérard Philipe, Michel Piccoli, Jeremy Irons, Robert De Niro, Charles Chaplin, Claude Monet... Shame on all of us... We do nothing here. Alas, we have no choice since we work under the dictate of the crowd. Unfortunately, from a long time many articles in wikipedia cannot be used for reference at all. These articles can be marked for deletion.--MrPanyGoff 09:21, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
  • Actually, this nomination seems quite promotional, linked with this new movie release: en:Ekk Deewana Tha where she has the leading female role. --Myrabella (talk) 11:27, 14 March 2012 (UTC)

  •   Support OK, this one is better. Yann (talk) 09:31, 24 June 2012 (UTC)
    •   Comment but you can't even see her face properly cause she is not looking at the camera, the crop is unfortunate cause the top of her head is missing, the blur is excessive with parts of her hair and right shoulder being blured. Just wanna know why you think this is better so atleast I can be clear about the criteria for a picture being VI.Boseritwik (talk) 15:25, 24 June 2012 (UTC)
  •   Support I still support this one as best in scope and meeting all criteria. Certainly the edges of her hair and right shoulder are blurred, but her face is in focus at a high resolution. Also important to the present comparison, in the other image her forehead, chin, and cheeks are washed out by the flash/glare. cmadler (talk) 13:29, 25 June 2012 (UTC)

RaageshwariEdit

Scope:
Raageshwari
Reason:
Possibly best in scope. -- §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C}
  • Note: Although the image is taken outdoors, it is just like any studio image. Hence i feel that geo-coding is not necessary. There are way to many good images in this category, many taken by professional photographers and released by the subject herself to Commons. I chose this one as it is a good calm image. Other suggestions are also welcome. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 05:58, 31 January 2013 (UTC)
    •   Comment Difficult choice. Not geocoded. What not choosing File:Raageshwari.jpg which is used on the English WP page? It would be easy to geocode, as the place of this performance is certainly known. Yann (talk) 06:26, 5 February 2013 (UTC)
Do we need geo coding for such studio photographs? This will look good in infoboxes when cropped. Isnt it? §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 07:03, 5 February 2013 (UTC)
Support I am not sure there a consensus about that. Finally I decided to support this one. Seeing the style of the picture, it is probably a staging, so the location is not really important. Yann (talk) 08:02, 6 February 2013 (UTC)
