Scope of the Competition
editImages shall fall under the below scope, inorder to be considered for the competition. Although you are free to upload any image to commons (unless personal rights are violated). This competition inlcudes Mangaluru city and a anything within a radius of 50km from the city: History, Culture, Construction, Nature etc.
- Nature of Mangaluru
Encourage participants to capture the natural beauty of beaches, parks, hills, and any unique flora and fauna in and around Mangaluru.
- Religious and Cultural Events of Mangaluru
Showcase the religious gatherings, culture and various events that take place in Mangaluru. This can include festivals, cultural events, portraits of people in city and other community gatherings.
- Sports & local cuisines
Showcase the sports culture and food of Mangaluru. Showcase the various modes of transportation, including buses, trains, ships, and other innovative forms of transit within the city.
- Monuments, Streets & Buildings
Showcase the various modes of transportation, including buses, trains, ships, and other innovative forms of transit within the city. Highlight historic, contemporary religious and modern structures, as well as colonial-era buildings that contribute to the architectural heritage of the city.
Image Editing
editParticipants have the freedom to edit their images, but it's recommended to maintain a natural appearance. Reference images can be viewed here. In case of editing, it's crucial to save the EXIF/Metadata. Images lacking Metadata won't be considered for the contest as authorship/copyright verification becomes challenging without it.
