Report
The primary objectives of this outreach effort are to make efforts to promote contributions to Wiki Loves Monuments 2023 in India from Telangana and to understand opportunities and challenges to conduct outreach campaigns to document historical monuments of Telangana on a wider scale.
Going ahead, A2K initially made efforts to connect with organizations which are currently working on the preservation and documentation of Heritage Monuments of Telangana. Eventually, A2K collaborated with Telangana Historian and Archeologist Aravind Arya Pakide of TORCH Telangana to explore opportunities to promote Wiki Loves Monuments in Telangana. The original idea is to conduct a Commons Workshop for Historians and Archeologists working on Heritage Monuments of Telangana in Hyderabad and follow it up by conducting a Heritage walk for Photographers in Warangal during two consecutive weekends in September. While the Outreach event in Hyderabad was successfully conducted in an originally planned manner, the Heritage walk was postponed and conducted as a follow-up to the participants who already attended the first event due to unforeseen personal difficulties for the organisers.
Commons Workshop for Telangana Historians was conducted in Paidi Jairaj Preview Theatre in Ravindra Bharathi complex at Hyderabad. We successfully secured a venue for free from
