As to "Plants and fungi" category, the 4th and the 5th have both 81 votes:

For the voting in Round 2 I suggest to use a voting template to make a checking easier:

voting more than once

The voting just began, but few people already voted for more than one image. Should we add this:

You may cast one vote only. Not one vote per image: one vote in total. (This is different from round 1 voting).

GIFs on top

Why are two animated GIFs (which will create the most problems in various browsers) at the top of the page? As a matter of practicality, all animated GIFs need to be at the bottom of the page... AnonMoos (talk) 03:01, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

Licensing issues

It should be noted that two of the finalists:

Are licensed under GFDL 1.2-only, which some people consider to not be a free license for images. Kaldari (talk) 17:04, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

That licence has been accepted here for some time, and complies with COM:PS#Required licensing terms and the paragraphs that follow. I know that some people don't like this licence, as it will not be dual-licensed under the WMF proposals, but I know of no reason to call it unfree according to our criteria. --MichaelMaggs (talk) 17:15, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
