Description
Français : Argenton sur Creuse (36), depuis parvis chapelle de la Bonne-Dame dominant la ville. Non ce n'est pas un hommage à G. Sand, laquelle vivait au XIXe plus à l'est, non loin de La Châtre... un grand escalier permet de rejoindre le centre.

Sous-préfecture de 5 000 hab., soit une population équivalente à La Souterraine (23) située 40 km au sud, la petite cité présente une morphologie plus valonnée grâce au passage de la rivière.

Si la RN20, qui n'existe plus, a déserté le centre ville depuis bien longtemps au profit d'une déviation, devenue A20, la ligne Paris-Orléans-Limoges-Toulouse est toujours là... avec des fortunes diverses.
