Description
Deutsch: Detail der Skulptur „Homo Sapiens“ (Spiegelmosaik auf Holzplatte, 2012/13) von Federico Schiaffino, ein Teil des Kunstprojekts „Möhnewandel im Bilde“; Gemeinde Möhnesee, Naturpark Arnsberger Wald.
Die Skulptur stammt aus Schiaffinos Werkzyklus FORMA MENTIS (Geisteshaltung) und beinhaltet philosophische, neuro-, natur- und sozialwissenschaftliche Aspekte. Eine besonnene Geisteshaltung, die u.a. auch Menschen beim LIFE-Projekt Möhneaue mit ihrer Arbeit täglich praktizieren, die dem Erhalt und der Wiederherstellung natürlicher Lebensräume und ihrer Tier- und Pflanzenwelt dienen. "HOMO SAPIENS" spiegelt an diesen Standorten die bereits vorgenommenen Veränderungen des Möhnegebietes. Nicht das eigene Werk steht in der Sicht des Betrachters, sondern die Umgebung wird in das Kunstwerk mit eingeschlossen, nimmt an was sich vor ihr befindet, wirft ein verzerrtes, gebrochenes Bild zurück und illusioniert eine gewisse Transparenz ihres Umfeldes. Die Skulptur besteht aus beschädigten Spiegeln (Sondermüll). Die unwillkürlich zerbrochenen Scherben wurden auf der Holzplatte willkürlich angeordnet, so dass durch jedes einzelne Fragment, Bewegung und Spannung erzeugt wird. Aus Einzelteilen ist die Struktur der Gestalt, etwas neues Ganzes entstanden, das über große Kräfte verfügt. Wo immer HOMO SAPIENS auch steht, wird er zum Träger der Wahrheit!
