English: Iles Sandwich, femme de l'ile Mowi dansant (Female dancer, Maui, Sandwich Islands) depicted by Jacques Arago who was the artist abroad the ship Uranie under Louis de Freycinet. From Jacques Arago's rare account of Freycinet's travels around the world from 1817 to 1820. First published in 1822, Arago's account met with much success. This plate is newly drawn by N. Maurin after the orginal sketchbook by Jacques Arago, who had become blind.
