English: 'Snow Joke. These flimsy fences, erected by the side of the A628 at Fiddlers Flat and other intermittent locations, are designed to stop drifting snow from blocking the road. They have limited success. The Woodhead pass is often closed in severe winter conditions. Behind the viewpoint , adjacent to the A628, is the Snow Road which forms part of the Barnsley boundary walk. |
