İdris Bitlisi,Şeyh Hüsamettinin oğludur Yavuz Sultan Selim zamanında yaşamış, ehli sünnet bir Kürt komutandır Şii safevi devletine karşı Osmanlı'nın safında yer alan İdris Bitlisi doğuda Osmanlı hakimiyetini resmen tanıtmıştır aynı zamanda 26 Kürt beyi ile Osmanlı'nın himayesine girmiştir.[1]
