Polski: Tlen we wzbudzonym stanie singletowym świeci na czerwono. Ten efekt został otrzymany przez wrzucenie pastylki podchlorynu wapnia - Ca(ClO)2 (w tym przypadku był to środek do odkażania basenu) do silnie schłodzonego 30%-owego roztworu nadtlenku wodoru. Reakcja zachodzi według równania :
ClO− + H2O2 → 1O2 + H+ + Cl− + OH−. Po kilku sekundach roztwór ogrzewa się (ponieważ reakcja jest egzotermiczna) i przestaje świecić. |
