Description
Türkçe: MÖ 4. binyılda Uruk kültüründe merkezî sistemi görkemini yansıtan tapınak gibi anıtsal yapılarda fırınlanmış kil çiviler daha sonraki dönemlerin mozaiklerine benzer şekilde duvar bezemelerinde kullanılmıştır. bir ucu sivriltilmiş konik biçimli kil çivilerin ıslak ve kalın sıva zemine yerleştirilmesiyle oluşturulan mozaik daha sonra her bir kil çivinin geniş ucunun siyah, kırmızı ve beyaz renklere boyanmasıyla renklendirilmişti. İlk kez Güney Mezopotamya'da anıtsal yapıların cephelerinin bezenmesinde kullanılan bu yöntem Orta Fırat bölgesindeki ticaret kolonilerinde de benzer biçimde kullanılmıştır. Bezemeler baklava, üçgen, düz ve yılankavi süslemelerden oluşur. Duvara sabitlenen boğa biçimli kil levhalarında bezemesinde de aynı yöntem uygulanmıştır.
