Итальянская (венецианская) школа. куда поступила в 1930 году из Государственного Эрмитажа. На картине изображена набережная Большого канала во время традиционного венецианского праздника: венецианский дож в день Вознесения выезжал в море и бросал в Адриатическое море золотое кольцо, что, согласно легенде, должно было благоприятствовать мореплаванию. На ведуте знаменитые Дворец Дожей, собор св. Марка, колокольня и библиотека Сансовино
