В предыдущих главах книга Левит рассказывает о разных видах жертв: всесожжении, пшеничном приношении и пиршественной жертве. В данной главе автор повествует о непреднамеренном нарушении ритуального обряда. Если какое-либо отступление от обряда происходит, то священник обязан принести жертву за грех.
