За однією з версій споруда була зведена в 1891-м, але в більшості джерел вказується інша дата - 1912 рік. Саме в цей час місцеві жителі відзначали 100 років з дня заснування Снігурівка на правому березі річки Інгулець переселенцями, більшість яких прибуло з однойменного села Климовського повіту Могилевської губернії. Про те, що будівля належала Кредитним товариству, свідчить збережена на воротах назва установи. Спорудження не так давно було відреставровано
