Українська: Пампасна трава срібляста (Cortaderia selloana (Schult. & Schult. f.) Asch. & Graebn.) з роду Кортадерія (Cortaderia Stapf, 1897) родини Злакові (Poaceae Barnhart (1895), nom. cons.)

Cortaderia selloana, широко відома як пампасна трава, є видом квіткових рослин родини Злакові. Ця рослина являє собою великий, щільний зазвичай дводомний або гінодіомний багаторічник; стебла прямостоячі, міцні, до 4 м заввишки. Листя з язичковим обідком з волосків довжиною 2–3 мм; лезо, складене в бутон, c. 1 м завдовжки, шкірка, краї гострі, як ніж.

Вона також відома під іншими народними назвами, такими як Erba dela Pampa італійською, Herbe de la pampa французькою, Pampas-grass англійською, Pampasgras німецькою та Uruguayan pampas grass англійською. Рослина використовується як лікарський засіб і має екологічне використання.

Cortaderia selloana, commonly known as Pampas grass, is a species of flowering plant in the Poaceae family. This plant is a large, dense usually dioecious or gynodioecious perennial; culms erect, stout, to 4 m high. Leaves with ligule a rim of hairs 2–3 mm long; blade folded in bud, c. 1 m long, scabrous, margins knife-sharp.

It is also known by other common names such as Erba dela Pampa in Italian, Herbe de la pampa in French, Pampas-grass in English, Pampasgras in German, and Uruguayan pampas grass in English. The plant is used as a medicine and has environmental uses.
