English: Valeriya Lavrenko, deputy director of the Dnipro National History Museum named after Yavornytskyi and mentor of the Noosphere Archeology project, during excavations at "Balka Kantserka" in the village of Lyubimivka, Dnipro region. The expedition took place in the summer of 2022 at the site of an ancient pottery center of an international level of the early Middle Ages, and the monument itself is associated with the Alan tribes (nomadic tribes whose stay in Ukraine dates back to the VII-VIII centuries).

In the photo, Valeriya conducts research using innovative technologies, namely subsurface radar, to establish the location of archaeological objects and determine the boundaries of the excavation.

As a result of the expedition, it was possible to locate the nineteenth mine, which has the best state of preservation known to science and has the prospect of museumization directly at the place of discovery, i.e. In situ.

Archaeologists also discovered a cluster of more than 6,000 pieces of ceramic fragments. "Balka Kantserka" was a "city of craftsmen" and potters mostly exported their products. Therefore, directly at the monument, you can find only ceramics with production defects, however, the scale of the findings is impressive in any case.
