Применялся для вспомогательной ориентации БЖРК на маршруте следования. Устанавливался на опорах контактной сети, при их отсутствии - на светофорах или специальных столбах. Максимальное расстояние между датчиками 25 км.

Used for subsidiary orientation of a military railway missile complex while en route. Sensors were mounted on the overhead contact masts signal masts о special poles.
