Description
Русский: “Портрет княгини Марии Николаевны Волконская с сыном”, 1826. Бумага, графитный карандаш, акварель. 21х17 см. Государственный музей им. А.С. Пушкина, Москва.
М.Н. Волконская просила художника сделать повторение этого портрета для своей сестры (Орловой Е.Н), но о судьбе копии ничего не известно. Первый портрет находился у Волконских все 30 лет пребывания в Сибири. Портрет был вывезен в эмиграцию потомками Волконских. В 1920-х гг. у С. А. Джулиани, который собирался продать акварель чтобы прокормить семью, портрет выкупил В. Н. Звегинцов, женатый за А. М. Раевской. В 1966 г. о том, что портрет находится в собрании В.Н. Звегинцова узнал И. С. Зильберштейн. В 1968 г. В.Н. Звегинцов подарил портрет музею.
