Українська: Слимаки є гермафродитами — вони мають як жіночі, так і чоловічі статеві органи. Під час розмноження слимак повзе за слизом іншого слимака, який може поїдати. Потім слимаки знаходять один одного і починають кружляти разом. При цьому вони випускають геніталії, які торкаються партнера. Сперма переноситься у формі сперматофора. В ході спаровування часто відбувається апофалація - коли один або обидва слимаки відкушують частину пеніса. Пеніс цих видів скручений подібно до штопора і часто сплутується в геніталіях їх партнера в процесі обміну сперми. Апофалація дозволяє слимакам роз'єднуватися.
English: Slugs are hermaphrodites - they have both female and male sex organs. During reproduction, the slugs crawls after the mucus of another snail that can eat. Then the slugs find each other and begin to whirl together. At the same time, they release the genitals, which touch the partner. Sperm is transferred in the form of a spermatophore. During mating, apophalation often occurs - when one or both slugs bite off part of the penis. The penis of these species is twisted like a corkscrew and is often entangled in their partner's genitals during sperm exchange. Apophalation allows slugs to separate. English: Mating slugs.
