Description

עברית: הגלעד לנופלים במלחמת ששת-הימים ובקרבות ההתשה ממוקם במצפה גדות, שהוא אתר הנצחה ומקום תצפית ברמת הגולן. המקום שימש כמוצב סורי הנקרא "(אל)מורתפע" (בעברית: "הנישא"). מוצב זה היה אחד מן המוצבים המבוצרים ביותר בגולן, בשטחו שרדו תעלות קשר ושדות מוקשים. המוצב שולט על הדרך הראשית העולה לגולן דרך גשר בנות יעקב. כשכבשו כוחות חטיבת אלכסנדרוני את המוצב במלחמת ששת הימים נדהמו החיילים מאופן שליטת המוצב על גדות ומפקד החטיבה, עמנואל שקד, שידר מהמוצב אל החברים במקלט בגדות את המילים: "מכאן אתם נראים גדולים שבעתיים". את האנדרטה עיצב האמן עזרא אוריון.
