Description
English: Qom is located beside the desert at 140 km south of Tehran with the height of 930 m above the sea level in an arid region. It enjoys a desert and semi-desert climate. Summer is warm and arid and winter is nearly cold in this city. Qom consists of 5 parts as "Jafarabda", "Khalajestan", "Salafchegan", "Kahak", "Markazi", one city and 9 rural districts. This city is the 8th populous city after Tehran, Mashhad, Isfahan, Tabriz, Karaj, Shiraz, Ahvaz and second religious city after Mashhad and also one of the main centers of Silk Carpet, Sweets and Sohan production in Iran and all around the world located among Iran transportation roads which connect the industrial cities to Tehran, on one hand, and link the southern provinces and cities of Iran to the northern ones, on the other hand. Qom, one of the most significant desert towns, is of the main poles of developing pilgrimage tourism in Iran.
فارسی: شهر قم این پایتخت مذهبی و قطب فرهنگی ایران در کنار رودخانه ی قمرود در محدوده ی پارک ملی کویر واقع شده است. قم از شهرهای کویری ایران است که شاهراه ارتباطی بین شهرهای شمالی و جنوبی کشور می باشد. بعضی قم را متعلق به ساسانیان و بسیاری مورخان آن را با نام کمیدان و کم ساخته ی خمانی دختر بهمن می دانند. گفته می شود هسته ی اولیه ی شهر محله لب چال با ساکنانی زرتشتی بوده است. این شهر به دلیل وجود حرم مقدس حضرت معصومه و نیز مسجد جمکران دومین قطب گردشگری مذهبی ایران شناخته می شود. Se sitúa a 156 km al sudoeste de Teherán, en la ribera del río Qom. Qom es considerada ciudad santa en el islam chiita, ya que ahí se ubica el sepulcro de Fátima Ma'suma, hermana del imán Reza (798-816 d. C.). La ciudad es el centro mundial de los estudios islámicos chiitas, y es un destino importante de peregrinación.

Elle est située le long de la rivière Qom et comptait, en 2005, 1 042 309 habitants. Qom est une des villes saintes du chiisme, puisque c'est le site où est enterrée Hazrat Fatimah Ma'soumeh, sœur de Ali ar-Rida (en persan Imam Reza, 789-816). La ville accueille la plus grande hawza d'Iran, qui égale en taille celle de Nadjaf en Irak.
