Common names - scarlet cordia ; Geiger Tree; Aloe Wood ; sea trumpet 

Tamil: Acchinaruvili

Usually a seaside tree;Fruits are edible  ; Fruits are pickled ;Increases appetite and decreases indigestion ; Researches say that the leaf extract prevents corrotion of metal to a certain extent ; Syrup of the flowers, or fruits cures bronchial 

diseases ; Decoction  from  flowers is  used to treat venereal disease. Sap of tree  is applied to wounds .

ஊறுகாயும் போடுகிறார்கள் ; பூக்களின் கசாயம் பிறப்பு உறுப்பு நோய்களுக்கு மருந்தகிறது; பூவின் அழகிய நிறத்திற்காகத் தோட்டங்கள் , வீடுகளில் இம் மரத்தை வளர்க்கிறார்கள் ! நாய் நறுவிலி முதலிய வேறு சில நறுவிலி 

மரங்களும் உள ! ‘மூலிகை அகராதி’யில்  ‘அச்சி நறுவிலி’ குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது !
படத்தில் - அடர் ஆரஞ்சு நிறப் பூங்கொத்துடன் அச்சி நறுவிலி மரத்தின் தோற்றம் !
