水は魔の精である。長江の水も亦時に萬景を現し時に萬景を隱す。天僊橋はその水の一勝景である。｜秋來れば大江の水涸れて萬縣の町裏小河の江に注ぐあたりに一筋の岩現はれて橋を成す。夏となれば水滿ちて其の名も水に沈む。｜天僊橋の名は水と共に現滅するのだ。｜（一九二六、八撮影）（不許複製）
