歷史の上からは、元朝滅びて既に久しく、從てその蒙古文字も、今は死せる文字の一つとして數へられて來た。然し幾百萬の蒙古民族の尚生くる限り、實用の上には依然として生ける文字として役立つのだ。｜國境街滿洲里にかうした看板を見ると、蒙古民族は尚生き而して働いてゐることを痛感せざるを得ない。｜（一九二八、撮影）（印畫の複製を禁ず）
