遊覽地と化した九華の今日には、爭はれない時代の變化の形相が見える。都人鄙人、華人洋人、そこには自らなる變化が、この山中にも日毎に蝕んで行くのだ。｜とある村の宿屋の中庭で、ふと眼に止つた二つの細工物、古い何千年來の子守椅子、そしてもう一つは籐椅子風の竹轎、かくて九華山中に汽笛が聞えるのも遠い將來ではなからう｜（一九二九年撮影）（印畫の複製を禁ず）
