硯に名を賣らん町 （渭原）

昔に松樹の山を負ひ、前に淸流渭原江を控へた渭原邑は、人口約千七百、城壁こそないが城門の嚴しさが、町の古さを語る北鮮の一小都だ。｜この町には硯を產し、名けて渭原端溪と謂ふ。石質も細工も本場のものには及びもつかないが、山上から街を大觀すれば何となくこの町にしてこの產ありとの感を起さしめる。（一九三〇年撮影）（印畵の複製を禁ず）
