駱駝の群 （興安北省）

曠茫限りなき草野を移動する群駱、これは興安嶺の西部に於ける景色だ。駱駝は蒙古東南部に於ては甚だ稀少である。僅かに各王府等に於て長途旅行用として數頭の飼養を見るに過ぎない。駱駝の用途は荷物の運搬にありて强大なる彼のグロテツクスな姿に比し從順にして忍耐强き性質と體力の强固とは頗る運搬に適してをり殊に沙漠地帶に於ては運搬、交通機關、即ち沙漠の舟として重要の役目を果たしてゐる。（印畫の複製を禁ず）
