夔州に近き下流に白帝城があり、そのまた下流に瞿唐峡がある。三峡の険として風景を頗る佳いが一面また此の峡を舟にて上下すれば冷汗三斗の気を催すほど恐しい峡間の急流でもある。昔し、諸曷孔明［諸葛孔明］は江底に鉄鎖を張り魏軍の進撃を岨止したところとして史実でも名高いところである。｜（印画の複製を禁ず）
