Description

北湖火車站（副站名中國科大）位於新竹縣湖口鄉，2012 年設站，屬於西部幹線北段，為甲種簡易站，設有兩個月台，中間以地下道連結。除了車站功能之外，富岡電聯車基地進出廠號誌站也設在這裡，為列車進入基地的緩衝區，維修車輛駛入車站後，再將列車送往基地維修。它的設計相當好看，是一個長弧形的跨站瓊頂蓋住整個車站。

背後的煙霧是因為附近有民宅失火。
