Summary
editDescription十三行遺址青銅刀柄.jpg |
中文(繁體):十三行遺址青銅刀柄(重要古物),新北市八里區頂罟里(小八里坌庄十三行)
English: The most characterful bronze item of ancient Taiwan is the human-shaped knife handle and eleven such knife handles were found at the Shihsanhang site. Human-shaped bronze knife handles and their molds have also been discovered in Yilan and Taitung, but their origin is still unclear. A bronze medallion has also been found at Shihsanhang with a design on its front that resembles a person riding a camel. As camels have never existed in Taiwan, its appearance here is likely the result of a connection to Western Asia. |
