中文（臺灣）：此圖拍攝的地點位於現今花蓮縣政府附近的區域，其在日治時期為花蓮港分屯大隊操演練兵的地方，由於地形平坦，此地望向東邊、北邊視野都很遼闊，西邊則是花蓮港地區的制高點：米崙山。操兵演練是花蓮港分屯大隊的基本日常訓練，目的在於培訓能鎮壓原住民勢力的軍隊。圖片中可見士兵蹲踞在挖好的戰壕內操演的情況，而觀察從左邊數來第三與第四人，可得知當時日本軍官與士兵為不同的裝扮，所戴帽子亦不同，可以提供簡易的區別。當時的士兵族群為漢人與原住民混和在隊伍中。此影像收錄於2016年（民國105年）由花蓮文史工作者葉柏強先生撰寫、花蓮縣文化局出版的《顧我洄瀾：花蓮歷史影像集》，書中收錄了大量花蓮在地的歷史影像，如老照片、繪葉書、宣傳摺頁、郵戳樣式等，是深入花蓮文史的重要書籍。 |
