中文（臺灣）：沒有商家的吆喝、沒有遊客的喧嘩，大里老街散發出一種滄桑靜謐的美。 大里舊名大里簡，稱係因平埔族大里簡社所居而名，惟此社名並未見於1650荷人戶口調查表篇，推測應是小聚落而不載，或是沿用原住民稱呼而未必有其社，光復後將蕃薯寮、大里簡二地合併為大里里，屬頭城鎮管轄。在鐵路以及公路尚未開通之前，大里一直是宜蘭通往台北的重要路線「草嶺古道」的起點，於是「大里街道」便應運而生，據說當時大里街上開了數間的雜貨店、旅館，行旅者南來北往，非常熱鬧。老街古樸的矮房建築也令人著迷，據當地耆老云：是因為本地緊鄰海濱，為減低海風侵蝕而設計出的門楣高度。而現在的大里老街雖在落日之下映著餘暉，但曾有過的風華卻充滿了懷古幽情，也吸引了不少影視工作者到此拍攝。2013 年7月宜蘭縣頭城鎮公所也完成大里舊街風貌營造專案，將部分老屋空間、花園、走道重新整理，結合周邊堤防改善與濱海公園建設等工程，期待再創大里老街悠然、慢活的山海新驛站。 |
