Description
中文（臺灣）：身體縱扁，頭部及嘴相當大，背部具有五根分離的鰭棘(第四鰭棘退化)，第一鰭棘特化成吻觸手，末端餌球成球狀，第三鰭棘相對較短，約在三分之二長度位置有一對黑色卷鬚。 屬於深海底棲性魚類，深度約300-500公尺，為肉食性，會利用特化的吻觸手及餌球引誘獵物，主要捕食底棲魚類及蟹類。
