English: The earliest "T"-shaped terminus railway station in the history of Taiwan's railways, which refers to a station where the station building and tracks form a 90-degree perpendicular structure, symbolizing the end of the train line. It was constructed during the time of Japan's Meiji Restoration, incorporating elements of traditional Japanese wooden structures and Western architectural styles. The station building was assembled using traditional mortise and tenon joints, without the use of any nails or adhesives for fixation. On the copper tiled roof, three sets of Western-style dormer windows were evenly installed, serving both lighting and decorative purposes. In 1937, the station was expanded by one-third while perserving its original style. An additional dormer window was added to the roof, creating a unique architectural feature where the forth dormer window is not equidistant from the previous three.
