Description
中文（臺灣）：碧潭吊橋始建於日據後期昭和12年（1937年），原來是可以通行車輛的公路橋梁性質設計，民國43年碧潭大橋完工後公路隨之改線，碧潭吊橋始卸下公路橋梁的身份，禁止車輛行，僅供行人及自行車來往。 民國52年葛樂禮颱風後進行第二次修建，橋面寬度縮為3.2公尺，採兩路單行通道，中間保留1.2公尺的間距。碧潭吊橋於民國86年時曾由中華民國結構技師公會及昭淩工程顧問公司進行一次整體的結構安全鑑定，建議盡速詳細檢測或維修改建，其後於民國89年時進行碧潭吊橋第三次的維修工程。此次維修工程除兩岸的橋塔結構不作變動外，其餘整修項目包括主索、吊索、抗風主索、抗風支索之更新抽換，主索兩端之錨碇基礎與兩座混凝土橋台柱之保養，並將第二次維修後的雙向行走通道改回原始寬廣橋面樣貌，一直維持至今。
