中文（臺灣）：曾代表台灣參加過2002年威尼斯建築雙年展的高鐵新竹站頗富設計感，值得細細品味。新竹有傳統古老的客家族群，也有現代科技的科學園區，新竹站也將這兩者看似衝突的精神融入。外觀看來新潮現代的新竹站，站體的本身是橢圓形，卻是設計自傳統的客家圓樓，最受矚目的，還是這矩形的曲面屋頂，這屋頂的設計理念即是來自新竹的風，原本欲以波浪狀表現出風的柔軟多變，不過最後考慮到結構的穩定性而決定了如今的面貌，從空中眺望這屋頂像是待飛翔的雙翼，特殊的造型令人讚嘆不已。 |
