中文（臺灣）：物件為金門縣烈嶼鄉后頭村的衛生連遺址，照片拍攝於2020年9月12日，左方水泥牆上可勉強辨識出「軍務官兵」四個大字，建物現今殘破不堪，已淹沒在雜草中。

烈嶼位處前線中的前線，可說是離島中的離島，1945年二次世界大戰結束後，大小金門回歸中華民國統治。烈嶼過去醫療資源匱乏，缺乏大型現代化醫院，隨著國軍駐紮當地，小金門的衛生連、衛生排除了負責軍人健康狀態外，也在政府「軍民一家親」的政策下，替村民提供簡易的醫療服務。

1949年中華民國政府遷臺，烈嶼作為戰爭前線，隨著部隊移防、人群流動，1947年出現鼠疫疫情。根據地方耆老表示，當時小金門有二間醫院，一間在后頭；另一間則位於庵下，鼠疫爆發時，軍方將病人送到后頭的醫院治療，大多可平安回家，但如果是送往庵下的隔離醫院，僅有百分之30的人能痊癒，因鼠疫身亡的病人即埋在醫院後方的亂葬崗。隨著金門解除戰地政務，部隊退出烈嶼，曾經的軍醫院荒廢，過去金門人與官兵一同抵禦疫疾的故事，也慢慢消失在人們的記憶之中。
