中文（臺灣）：大正2年(1913)，臺灣總督府於今花蓮縣鳳林鎮一帶建立第三座官營移民村─「林田村」。當地移民為了宗教上的需求與寄託，林田神社氏子總代表笠井寬二、酒井龜太郎及清平福平等三人，擬於花蓮港廳奉鄉林田村建立神社，於是向臺灣總督佐久間左馬太提出「神社建立申請書」。隔年神社順利動工，並在同年6月6日舉行鎮座儀式。
