中文（臺灣）：車站位置在頂埔里與下埔里交界處，但附近大都屬於頂埔里，因此車站定名為”頂埔”，此為頭城七個火車站中最南端的車站。本站設於1937年，當時稱為「頂埔乘降場」，只停靠頭圍站（今頭城站）到蘇澳站之間行駛的汽油車，隔年（1938年）便因為戰爭缺乏汽油而停駛，頂埔站也因此歇業，直到1960年，臺鐵復設頂埔站，當時為招呼站，1968年升等簡易站。後因頂埔位於市區外圍，住宅並不密集，每天利用火車的人數也不多，又位處礁溪、頭城兩個大站之間，因此到了2005年，又被列降為招呼站，目前沒人看守，除了乘客，只有清潔人員偶爾進出。頂埔的舊站房原本位於鐵軌的西側，雙軌化工程後被拆除，在鐵軌的東側蓋了新站房。一般站房和鐵軌的位置都是一前一後，而這座新站房面向北部，月台和鐵軌位於它的左側而非後方，配置很特別。 |
